THE OUTDOORS

• Visit the refugee camp in the NE corner. Talk to the woman outside to gain entrance. It is OK to attack the thieves inside the wall; they don't really want to fight anyway.

• If you don't have a high enough reputation, you will have to pay a 5cp toll each time you cross the bridge.
• Sometimes looting pays off. Check the housing district for 86cp. Make to close the door!
• Laura, tells you to talk to Brian in Fort Emerald about the vahnatai consorting with the Empire.
• Monty suggests that there may be Empire spies in Blosk.
• Don't miss the spellbook for Healing L3 in the guestroom.
• Julio, will ask you to navigate the waterfall warrens. Doing so nets you 10xp and some blessed sandals.
• Mayor Bevan gives you the quest to Find Sixus. Talk with Abby for more info. You will need a boat from Silvar to get to his hideouts in Central Avernum. It does not matter how it turns out as far as getting your reward, 75 xp(!), 4 rep, 600c. Don't forget to pick up your food.
• Abby will give you a quest to find a blue pass. Upon returning with one (1 rep 10xp), you're given a quest to find a gray pass. When you get one, return for 1 rep, 25 xp and a Priest's Bracelet.
• You need Dispel Barrier L2 to get past the barriers in the treasure room. Once you do a couple of golems appear. However, if you decide to help yourself to the 600cp in the chest, you will make the entire hostile once you leave the city hall. Then you will have to fight your way out, and you won't be able to complete some quests. You will also lose access to the bridge that connects the Great Cave to the rest of Avernum.
• You cannot get into the Empire Hideout until you have encountered the Empire Ambush in the storerooms.
• Once inside the Empire Hideout, prepare yourselves before going through the locked door. Four Demons await you once you step inside.
• Get the spy evidence from the desk. Don't forget to get the Empire Records from the bookshelf to give to Radner at The Castle.
• You can find another Red Empire Pass in the chest of the main room.
