Basilisks inhabit the SE portion of this map. Kill them and head down the stairs. Continue west to find more basilisks. They are guarding a stolen book.
The big baddie here is Ghorath, the Icelord. Don't drink from any of the nearby basins. Power yourself up and then destroy his restoration pylon. Once it's dead, you can kill him much more easily. Then kill his pylons, since they don't attack. It'll be a bit painful this way, but it's better in the long run. He drops a temperate necklace and an ice hydra helm for your troubles, and there's a book of terror nearby.
