Galena will give you a quest to clean out her basement, after which she will give you the ability to craft with her and some fine leather. Head down her stairs. Shoot one plant from a distance. All will explode, clearing the area. Then go kill the lizards. Go talk with her and if you want to craft anything out of your fine leathers and focusing crystals, go ahead. You can also get two more leathers from the poisoned vat room to the NE and one more in the hidden room. The Mercuric Leather is fairly good if you can stomach the strength loss.
